Measure the area you want to mulch, select the closest garden shape and enter the dimensions into the calculator below. Choose your preferred mulch depth, then select Calculate My Mulch to see the estimated volume required.

The calculator will display the amount needed in cubic meters and recommend the smallest available Canterbury Mulch Delivery load that should provide enough mulch for your project.

For irregularly shaped gardens, divide the area into smaller rectangular, circular or triangular sections. Calculate each section separately and add the results together.

How Much Mulch Do I Need?

Select the shape of your garden area, enter your measurements and we will calculate how much mulch you need.

A depth of 75–100mm is generally recommended for new garden beds. A lighter 50mm layer may be suitable when topping up existing mulch.

Aged Garden Mulch Delivered in Canterbury

Our locally sourced arborist mulch is aged and turned for a minimum of eight weeks before delivery. This produces a more stable garden mulch that is easier to spread and suitable for garden beds, trees, pathways and landscaping projects.
